FIREBALL IMPROV AUDITIONS: Edu-tainment theatre on HEALTHY Dating, Relationships, & Sexuality
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. Your playing small does not serve the world.
We are all meant to shine, as children do. As we let our own light shine, we give other people the permission to do the same."
-- Marianne Williamson (and spoken by Nelson Mandela at his inauguration)
Public Performances: Inspired by audience suggestions, we'll improvise scenes about dating & relationship challenges. Anything is fair game! First, we'll have fun with "what NOT to do" in any given situation. Then, Daniel Phoenix, MA (Counseling Psychology) and the cast will create healthy solutions to each challenge, and perform them live! Topics will include: "Adventures in Dating," "More Joy Couples," "Healthy Sexuality" (NO NUDITY is required), "Your Life Partner in the Mirror," and more.
Daniel Phoenix, MA, Founder, Fireball Improv: Daniel received his
Masters in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in 1995. Since then, he has designed and led hundreds of speaking engagements, edu-tainment performances, playshops, shaman sessions, and "just for fun" events. Daniel's mission is to make personal development
easily accessible to the general public. He has done this by creating
fun and interactive mediums (such as edu-tainment theatre), and by addressing
provocative topics (such as dating, relationships, and sexuality).
Paid Cast: Cast members will be paid (part-time AND on a project basis) for our: public performances, private educational theater performances (such as "Sexual Assault and Rape Prevention" for college students, Greeks), and playshops (fans of our public performances sign up to role-play with us in a workshop format). Some of our cast members may also wish to take part in our "just for fun" events and/or our marketing and sales work. About half of our 8-10 person cast will be college and graduate students.
